PINOT GRIGIO

Delle Venezie DOC 2018

Varieties:
Pinot Grigio.
Region: Vineyards along the Adige river valley, which crosses the Veneto and Trentino regions.
Soil: Alluvial, highly draining soils which are rich in gravel.
Harvest: By the second ten days in August.
Winemaking Method: Grapes are fermented off the skins, and the juice firstly undergoes cold settling in order to safeguard the aromatic potential. Fermentation with cultured yeasts takes place at 16-18°C, then the new wine is aged for an appropriate length of time in stainless steel, before bottling.
Profile: A pale straw yellow wine ushering in a  well-defined note of wild flowers, hints of banana and honey on the nose. The understate, dry palate is soft, round and lively, with a pleasing, nicely lingering back palate of ripe pear.
Food Suggestion: Appetisers, starters, fish and cold white meats.
Storage/Cellaring: 1 year in bottle, laid down in a cool, dark place.
